Scura Partners assisted CD&L in negotiations with Velocity Express (NASDAQ: VEXP) and rendered a fairness opinion. The Board of CD&L voted to approve the merger and an announcement was made July 5, 2006.

Sale to the Comvest Group VEXP’s special committee engaged Scura Partners to conduct a sale process in response to a management buyout proposal. VEXP filed a Chapter 11 three months later. Post filing, Scura Partners was engaged to represent the company in a 363 sale process which was successfully concluded with the acquisition of the company by ComVest.
