As the founder and 20-year CEO of Karma Agency, a top communications and branding firm created through the acquisition of the Philadelphia office of one of the world’s most respected strategic communications agencies in 1999, Kate drove exponential growth that led to the sale of the firm to a private equity company in 2019.
Kate’s knowledge well extends to nearly every industry category from Fortune 50 to private and non-profit enterprises including financial services, chemical and manufacturing, technology, health and nutrition, health care providers, energy, higher education, environment, consumer and retail, franchise brands as well as tourism and government.
Active in civic and community affairs, Kate is Chair of the Board of Managers of The Philadelphia Foundation, a member of the Villanova University College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Dean's Advisory Council, a member of the Board of Trustees of The Academy of Music, a registered national historic landmark. Kate is a frequent panelist and guest lecturer on the role of communications in business strategies and has been a guest on Sirius XM’s Wharton Business Radio. She was the 2004 recipient of the Ethos Award for Character and Excellence in Communications presented by Villanova University. A Villanova University graduate, she also worked as a legislative assistant in the Washington office of then-U.S. Rep. Al Gore, Jr.
