Scura Partners Advises Ludwick Eye Center in its Sale to Omni Eye Services, a portfolio company of NMS Capital

NEW YORK, NY, April 23, 2019 — Ludwick Eye Center (LEC), a regional leader in ophthalmic and optometry care headquartered in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, was acquired by New Jersey-based Omni Eye Services, a portfolio company of New Mainstream Capital (NMS). The transaction between the two companies closed earlier this month. LEC’s practice includes five physician surgeons, four doctors of medical optometry and a certified physician assistant, more than 90 patient service employees, three clinics, two ambulatory surgery centers and an anesthesia company. With medical center-level care at the core of its practice, the company focuses on providing both complex and common ophthalmology and optometry needs of patients throughout small towns and rural communities in Central Pennsylvania and Northern Maryland. Scura Partners served as exclusive financial advisor to Ludwick Eye Center in this transaction.
As advisor to LEC, Scura Partners researched, reviewed and analyzed a range of strategic alternatives and business combination options with the goal of identifying, attracting and securing the optimal partner that would ensure an ongoing commitment to outstanding quality of care for all patients and the highest degree of integrity for employees. “We are grateful to have engaged Scura Partners as our financial advisor in this transaction with Omni Eye Services,” said David J. Ludwick, MD, CEO and medical director of LEC. “The Scura Partners team was creative, attentive and proactive while finding the right partner for our company. Everyone from the firm principal to each team member was available 24/7 to answer any questions or pursue any issues that arose. Through their hard work, we found the right fit with Omni Eye Services.”
